At home family photoshoot

Tuesday, 14th July 2020

Winter 2019 was a busy time for me so I’m just getting around to posting some of the beautiful families I had the privilege to photograph. I always love looking back on a shoot and seeing the joy, laughter and overwhelming love pictured. I find myself thinking if I can get this sense of joy from viewing photos of others then imagine the love and self esteem our children must feel when viewing photographs of themselves. That to me is a truly awesome thought!

‘when a child sees a family portrait with them incuded in the photograph they say to themselves: these people have me as part of what they are, that’s why I belong here. This is where I come from’ Judy Weiser licensed psychologist

‘I think it’s really important to show a family as a family unit. it is so helpful for children to see themselves as a valued and important part of the family unit. A photographers job is to create and make the image look like a safe holding space for kids where they are safe and protected. kids get it on a really simple level’ David Krauss licensed psychologist

Since reading a bit on the psychology of family photography I have certainly made a bigger effort to make sure we have lots of photos on our walls and even ones were I am pictured too! If you would love me to capture your family in the comfort of your own home please do get in touch, I would love to discuss your bespoke shoot.

Newborn Park Photoshoot

Saturday, 6th June 2020

I had my first social distance photoshoot this week @wokingpark, we orginally had an at home maternity and newborn shoot planned in but I’m so pleased to have still been able to capture this little one in his first couple of weeks into the world. Such a precious time, Mum and Dad so so in love with him, it was an absolute joy to capture!

Doorstep Portraits

Saturday, 6th June 2020

Happy memories made in what has been a difficult time for most and tragically sad for some. The symbol of the rainbow so very appropriate.

Whatever this time has meant to you I am so pleased I was able to capture the part we all played in staying at home to keep everyone safe.

Thank you to all who took part in Doorstep Portraits and raised money for the local charity, supporting those suffering from domestic abuse, especially in the current crisis. If you haven’t heard of them please check out the great work they do!

Maternity shoot

Thursday, 19th September 2019

The summer holidays seem to have flown by – I can’t believe it’s back to school time already. We had a fab time discovering the British seaside this year from the Isle of Wight to Weymouth! I wasn’t brave enough to venture abroad with two yet but luckily the weather did not let us down and sitting on a beach in the UK has often felt like being abroad. I was particularly impressed with the beach West Bay with it’s eye catching cliffs and amazing play park – adding it to my favourites with a toddler!

I don’t know if it’s having a toddler that makes time go super speedy or the fact that you’ve done it once before but Eleanor seems to be growing up so quickly, I just want to hit the pause button for a second! It only felt like yesterday she was in my tummy but it’s hard to believe she ever fit in there now she’s 5 months! It makes me appreciate the importance of capturing every precious moment.

And big congratulations to this adorable family on becoming a four, it was a joy to capture you together before your new little fella arrived! I loved every second of our shoot together…

Our little bird

Thursday, 6th June 2019

We welcomed our little bird Eleanor Wren into the world in March this year and I have been enjoying lots of cuddles! Although there are lots of new challenges I am absolutely loving being a mummy to two! I thought I couldn’t love Alex more but seeing him take on the role of big brother to Eleanor makes my heart melt – I couldn’t be happier!

It makes me appreciate even more the role of capturing precious moments together in these early stages – it’s just going so quick this time round!!! I want to savour every minute. I look forward to sharing more photos with you as they grow and also capturing memories with your family.

Personal Branding shoot with Little Twinkle Toes

Thursday, 14th February 2019

Happy Valentines hope you are doing something lovely to celebrate!?

I’m just blogging my last few shoots now before I take a little break – just 6 weeks to go before our new baby girl arrives March 2019 and Alex is getting excited about the prospect of his baby sister – especially as he’s put in an order for her to bring cake on her arrival.

Having previously shot product lifestyle shots for all the gorgeous products available on, which have featured in publications such as My Baba, Baby Magazine and OK! Magazine, I recently had the pleasure of visiting it’s founder Kate at her surrey home to capture the person behind the brand.

Like myself Kate is a mum and expectant mum and so knows how precious every moment is! She uses that knowledge to design with her husband Ollie, unique personalised products and select beautiful British handmade items. She has worked with many a celebrity, such as Lille Lexie,Cara De La Hoyde,Jacqueline Jossa and Tyla Carr on making their Baby Showers & Gender Reveal parties extra special, and I too was lucky enough to sample Little Twinkle Toes giant gender reveal balloon for our new arrival (a girl!)

Although I will be taking a break, I am booking shoots in for my return to work, so if you are looking to take your brand to the next level with a personal branding shoot or your News Years resolution is to start up that business you’ve always dreamed of doing I’d love to hear from you!

Sunbeam Minis

Monday, 24th December 2018

Happy Christmas all! Hope all your last minute wrapping is now done and you’re tucking into a mince pie with a nice glass of mulled wine (non-alcoholic in my case). I’ve had such a wonderful year watching Alex grow from a baby into a little boy, from his first steps at the start of year to being potty trained last month, he has amazed me every moment and I couldn’t be prouder of what a lovely boy he is becoming. I can’t wait for him to become a big brother to ‘Mini’ next March – exciting!!!

Thank you to all who have supported my photography business this year, I have loved meeting so many lovely new people and receiving such positive feedback. I feel so blessed to be able to capture such special memories for my clients and can’t wait to continue capturing those special moments that make life so magical!

Special thanks to the Sunbeams Toddler Group  #CCwoking #wearewoking for inviting me to do their Christmas Mini sessions and inviting me back for next year to capture more laughter and cuties – can’t wait!
